We started out with three make-shift double boilers to make the uncolored wax liquid, each one tainted with a different color wax a different scent. Besides adding colors and scents, other additives improved the burning longevity and the opacity of the candles. We were able to make layered or multi-color candles since different colors were available simultaneously.
